PETICOLAS, ESTHER STUDEBAKER, 90, of 538 E Curlew Place, Tarpon Springs, died Thursday (July 6, 1989) at Drew Village Nursing Center, Clearwater. She was born in South Bend, Ind., and moved to Tarpon Springs in 1979 from Evanston, Ill. She was an Episcopalian. She was a member of the Fort Dearborn Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Cook County, Ill. Survivors include a son, James M. Jr., Prospect Heights, Ill.; a daughter, Esther P. Collins, Tarpon Springs; and three grandchildren, Beth A. DeAngelo, Ruidoso, N.M., Darrell F. Collins, Clearwater, and Russell Gordon Collins, Troy, Mich. Moss-Feaster Guardian Funeral Home, Sylvan Abbey Chapel.

James M. Peticolas, 86, of Glenview IL, formerly of Winnetka and Prospect Heights, died Sunday, January 18, 2014 after a short illness. Jim was born in 1928 in Chicago and spent much of his youth there before moving to Winnetka. He graduated from Lake Forest College and married Mary Broadwell of Springfield, IL in 1952. They had no children of their own but served as "aunt and uncle" to children both in the Chicago area and in Old Mission, Michigan where they summered. Jim was an avid tennis player and golfer for many years in Winnetka. He loved to read mysteries. He enjoyed being around people and was quick with a laugh. He was predeceased by his parents James M. Peticolas, Sr. and Esther Studebaker Peticolas, as well as his beloved wife Mary, and sister Esther (Darrell) Collins of Palm Harbor, Fl. He is survived by a nephew Russell Gordon Collins also of Palm Harbor, Florida.
