Everett Rabe, 87, of Kiel went to be with his Lord on Friday afternoon September 28, 2018 at Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center with his family by his side. He was born on January 23, 1931 in the Town of Eaton, Manitowoc County, son of the late Alvin & Helen (Vogel) Rabe. Everett was a graduate of Kiel High School.

Everett served his country with the US Army during the Korean War. He started his service in October of 1951 and was honorably discharged in September of 1953. He spent much of that time in Okinawa, Japan. Everett was proud to have taken his Honor Flight on April 12, 2017.

On October 31, 1953 he was united in marriage to Delores Henning at Bethlehem UCC. Everett and his wife Delores raised their family and farmed on the Henning Homestead for more than 40 years. During that time he also drove bus and hauled milk for many years. They were active with Farm Bureau, the Schleswig Cadets 4-H Club and enjoyed traveling together. Everett and Delores shared 60 years together before she preceded him in death on June 20, 2014. He was also an active member of Bethlehem UCC, serving as past choir director, past president and was involved in numerous other committees. Everett enjoyed the time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He looked forward to attending their birthday parties, holiday gatherings and school events.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, brothers; Kenneth & Ronald Rabe and a sister; Jeanette Blatz.

Funeral Services for Everett will be held at 6:00pm on Tuesday October 2, 2018 at Bethlehem UCC, (11608 Lax Chapel Rd., Kiel) with Rev. Rebecca Johnston and Pastor Randy Koppenhaver officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 2:00pm until 5:45pm when we will have brief family rites. Military Honors will follow the Service at Church. Burial in the Church Cemetery on Wednesday at 9:30am

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in his name.
