I was born in 1955 in Menominee, MI at St. Joseph's hospital to Merlin and Marcella (Belaire) Long; number five of seven children.

My first marriage in 1975 to Melvin R. Hanneman II. We had three children: Melvin Robert III {Rob}, Peter Curtis and Beth Marie. Divorced in 1983.

Second marriage 1986 to Garold J. Walters.

I lived in Marinette County all of my life.
I was employed by Marinette County as a Marinette County Sheriff Dept. dispatcher, then the Sheriff's secretary under Sheriff Joseph Larson. I also worked as a judicial assistant, then in the maintenance dept.; retiring from Marinette County after 27 years of service.

Hobbies were:
Marinette County Sheriff's Dept. Auxiliary Patrol ~ assisted in the beginning creation/operation of the organization~~1985-1997; retired as Lieutenant;
Over 30 years of bowling in league bowling~attending many Wisconsin State bowling tournaments and one National Bowling tournament in 2001 in Reno, NV, receiving placement in the singles event.
Enjoyed crocheting afghans and donating them to the Iron Mountain Veteran's and many, many thousands of preemie blankets and sweaters donated to St. Vincent Hospital of Green Bay, WI and St. Joseph Hospital of Marshfield, WI.
An American Red Cross blood donor~ over 13 gallons donated.

After retirement, genealogy struck my fancy and continues to be a work-in-progress.
