Jacquelyn L. Baatz

Newton - Jacquelyn L. Baatz, age 84 of Newton, went home to her Heavenly glory to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday evening, November 17, 2018.

Jackie was born on July 22, 1934 in Ashland, daughter of the late Willard and Jeretta (Wallace) Wilson. She grew up in Ashland and graduated in 1952 from Ashland High School. On December 11, 1954 Jackie was married to Donald R. Baatz at Ashland. He preceded her in death on November 13, 2008. Jackie worked as a blue print operator at Twin Disc Inc. for 25 years in Rockford, IL. The couple moved to Manitowoc in 2006 to be closer to family. She was a member of Grace Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Sheboygan. Jackie enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking and loved animals, especially dogs.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law: Robert Baatz and Cheri Cater Baatz, Sterling, IL; two daughters: Dr. Lynn Baatz and Sandra Baatz, Newton; two grandsons: Christopher Baatz and Michelle Kingdom, Poplar Grove, IL; Andrew Baatz and Amber Rasmussen Baatz, Freeport, IL; one step-granddaughter: Jennifer Petersen; four great-grandchildren: Chance, Miley, Morgan and Madison; three sisters: Ethel Kupczyk, Ashland; Joyce Danz, Turtle Lake; Audrey Christofferson, Eau Claire; one brother: Sam Wilson, Eau Claire, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Willard and Jeretta Wilson; her husband: Donald R. Baatz; one daughter-in-law: Bonnie Baatz; one brother and sister-in-law: Ken (Louise) Wilson; two sisters and one brother-in-law: infant Sandra Wilson; Virginia "Alice" (Don) Bayliss; five brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law: Vernon Baatz; Gerald (Nancy) Baatz; Virginia (James) Lauzon; Harry Danz; Ruth Wilson; John Christofferson.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at the Grace Orthodox Presbyterian Church, 4930 Green Valley Lane, Sheboygan. The Rev. Brian DeJong will officiate with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may call at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, 818 State Street, Manitowoc (TODAY) from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations would be appreciated for the Holy Family Memorial Providence Fund or the Don and Jackie Baatz Memorial Fund at Grace Orthodox Presbyterian Church.
