Born in 1804 in Campbeltown, Scotland to Robert Colvill and Isabelle Ferguson
She married Alexander Wylie in Campbeltown in 1829. Alexander was a Campbeltown distiller who built the Toberan Righ (also known as Toberanrigh D) Distillery in 1834.

They had the following children:

Janet Wylie 1833-1920 (Illinois)
Agnes Wylie b. 1834
Alexander Wylie b. 1836

She came to the United States after her husband died in 1862.
