Roy Lee McDaniel, 80, died Thursday, December 13, 2018, at his home. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 20, 2018, at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. Clay Waldrip officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Thursday December 20, at Barron Funeral Home.
Mr. McDaniel was born February 25, 1938 in Chester Co., SC and was a son of the late Raymond McDaniel and Evelyn Cornwell McDaniel. He graduated from Chester High School, attended Clemson University and was a manager at Arrow Shirt Co. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by one son, Roy Lee McDaniel Jr. (Julie) of Birmingham, AL.; one daughter, Ashley Elizabeth McDaniel of Gunnnersville, AL.; two granddaughters; five brothers, Rodger McDaniel of Chester, SC, Walter McDaniel of Charleston, SC, Charlie McDaniel of Mooresville, NC, Harold McDaniel of Huntsville, AL, George McDaniel of Tampa, FL; two sisters, Margaret McDaniel Hodge of Sumter, SC and Frances Carns of Chester, SC. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and James McDaniel.
