CHESTER Mrs. Evelyn Cornwell McDaniel 85, of 918 Calvary Church Rd., died August 20, 1996 at Chester County Hosptial. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Tuesday at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Craven officiating.
Burial is in Cool Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation is 7-9 p.m. today at Barron Funeral Home.
Mrs. McDaniel was born in Chester County, March 29, 1911, daughter of the late J. Clarence Cornwell and Maggie Carter Cornwell. She attended Chester County Schools, was a homemaker and member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond McDaniel.
Survivors include her sons, Robert C. McDaniel of Little Rock, AR, Charlie C. McDaniel of Mooresville, NC, Roy L. McDaniel of Chester, W. Harold McDaniel of Atlanta, GA, George T. McDaniel of Tampa, FL, James R. McDaniel of Greensboro, NC, Walter L. McDaniel of Charleston, WV, D. Roger McDaniel of Chester; two daughters, Margaret M. Hodge of Sumter, and Frances M. Carns of Chester; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
