William was the son of William and Hannah Steward Weeks. He was a farmer and was town superintendent in Clarendon. About 1836 William married Mary Ann Hall. They had six children: Delila, Henry, Olivia, Marcella, Mary A and William. William and Mary bought a farm in 1836 from Christopher Pierce, soon after they were married. Pierce was a brother-in-law to William, having married his sister, Aletta Weeks. Mary Ann, Delila, Olivia and Mary A are all buried in this cemetery. William's wife, Mary, died one day after William died.
