Rosie was born on July 12, 1944 in Manitowoc, duaghter of the late Homer and Ethel (Flaim) Bennett. On May 5, 2006 she married Fred Benzinger at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. She was employed at the Manitowoc County Health Care Center for the majority of her career until her retirement in July of 2006. Rosie sang for the choir at St. Peter the Fisherman. She enjoyed golfing, baking, fishing, and traveling.
Rosie is survived by her husband: Fred Benzinger, Two Rivers; three sons and two daughters-in-law: Doug (Erik) Geiger, Chicago, Don (Michelle) Geiger, Franklin, David (Tanya) Geiger, Ft. Atkinson; eight grandchildren: Marissa, Taylor, Robert, Nicholas, Maya, Owen, Graeson, Tyson; three step children: David (Jean) Benzinger, Wauwatosa, Dennis Benzinger, Palms Spings, CA, Gina (Pete) Anderson, Appleton; four step grandchildren: Jack, Max, Henry, Molly; one brother: Bernard (Barb) Bennett, Manitowoc; five sisters: Sharon (Jim) Kopidlansky, Pottsboro, TX, Paulette (Mike) Shallue, Manitowoc, Kathy (Jerry) Graebel, Venice, FL, Mary (John) Wachholz, Manitowoc, Bobbi (Greg) Tuma, Clover; one sister-in-law: Anni Bennett, Melbourne, FL; two sisters-in-law: Lillian Gerritts, Little Chute, Barbara Schiesl, Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. Rosie was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters-in-law: Dennis, David (Nancy), Donald, Mike (Liz) Bennett.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 4, 2019 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Tom Reynebeau. Burial will take place at Knollwood Cemetery, Kossuth at a later time.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday. January 4, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church
