Injuries Fatal to Robert Lang, 60
Millwright Tumbles Over A Guard Rail
Robert Lang, 60, of H11R, Custerdale, an employee of the Manitowoc Portland Cement company for 21 years, who fell 25 feet to a cement floor in the plant last Friday afternoon, died of his injuries Thursday night at the Holy Family hospital.
Mr. Lang suffered multiple fracures of the skull and other injuries. Police reported that he fell from the kiln room floor into the basement over a three foot guard rail. No one saw him when the accident happened.
Funeral services for Mr. Lang will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Urbanek and Schlei funeral home, with interment in Evergreen cemetery.
He was born in Waupaca county in 1890 and 33 years ago married Miss Alma Riske at Pella, Wis. They located at Clintonville and came to this city 21 years ago when Mr. Lang took employment at the plant. He was a millright.
His wife died in 1931 and in 1938 he married Miss Pauline Helm. She survives with a son, Larry of this city; two daughters, Mrs. Edward Bierbasz of Hales Corners, Wis., Mrs. Calvin Parworth of this city; brother, Arnold of this city; five sisters, Mrs. Reine Lambert of this city, Mrs. Fred Kobs of West Bend, Mrs. John Knipp of Newcastle, Wyo., Mrs. John Euhardy of Fond du Lac and Mrs. Herbert Laux of Appleton; and four grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home until the hour of services.
