After a lingering illness of about two years, Mrs. Fred Koeppen, aged 61, passed away at her home near School Hill Sunday morning at about six o'clock. Cause of her death was given as diabetes.

The deceased was born Feb. 10, 1870, in the town of Schleswig, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. August Quante. In 1899 she was married to Fred Koeppen, the couple locating on the farm where they have since resided. To the union five children were born: Alfred and Henry at home, Edgar at Tacoma, Wash., Fred at St. Nazianz, and Mrs.
Reinhold (flaw in paper) at Manitowoc. Besides her husband, she is also survived by a sister, Mrs. August Roehl of Schleswig, and by three brothers, August and Rudolph Quante of Schleswig, and Henry Quante of Bellingham, Wash.

Funeral services were held this Wednesday from the home, and at the Zion Lutheran church at Louis Corners at 2 o'clock, with the Rev. Harold O. Grunwald performing the last rites. Burial was in the...
