Lillian Holly, age 96, of 6455 Cty, Hwy. B, (Shoto) Two Rivers, died on Tuesday, September 8, 1998.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, September 11, 1998, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mishicot. Rev. John Neuser will officiate with burial in Knollwood Memorial Gardens, in the town of Kossuth.

Lillian was born December 4, 1901, in Mishicot, daughter of the late Alois and Antoinette Semandel Kolicek. She married Joseph Holly on June 10, 1918, at Holy Cross Church, Mishicot. The couple resided in Shoto following their marriage where they operated the Flour and Feed Mill and Grocery Store. In 1949, they moved to Ogema, Wis., where they had a resort on Stone Lake. The couple lived there until 1967 when they retired and moved back to Shoto. Mr. Holly preceded her in death January 31, 1977.

Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Eulalia Holly, Sun City, Ariz., Donald and Marie Holly, Manitowoc, Eugene and Evelyn Holly, Shoto; two daughters and sons-in-law, Ellen and Hilary Sconzert, Sun City, Ariz., Dorothy and Robert L. Krause, Shoto. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren, Tom J. Holly, Terry J. Holly, Marilyn Gigure, Dale Holly, Robert Holly, Ann Haensgen, Joan Smith, James Holly, John Holly, David Sconzert, Holly Marie Gronseth, Karen Richards, Jan Bouchonville, Steven Sconzert, Diane Tegtmeier, Julie A. Rohrer, James W. Wester, Kathryn King, Sharon Holly, Francis Holly, Michael Holly, Sandra LettenBerger and Janel Mertens; 53 great grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren, Courtney and Cassidy Mrotek and Joseph Messer; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was also preceded in death by one son-in-law, William C. Wester; one granddaughter, Beverly Sconzert DeGroot; one grandson , James J. Holly; one great-grandson, Matthew Gronseth; three brothers, Charles, Joseph and Julius Kolicek; five sisters, Bertha Kolicek, Frances Krumdick, Louise Hessel, Antoinette Holehouse, Marie Buese.

Friends may call on Friday from 4-6 p.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mishicot, until the Funeral Mass at 6 p.m. There will be no Thursday evening visitation.

The Lambert Funeral Home, Mishicot is assisting the family with funeral arrangements. Lillian was known as Nana to everyone especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She always had a table of food, everyone loved her rye bread and she was very happy when she could feed people.
