At an early age both parents passed away and Catherine and her brother: Tom were adopted by Mr. and Mrs. J.F. (Jack) McKenna of Livermore; Humboldt County, Iowa. Catherine resided and attended school in the Livermore, Iowa area. She was united in marriage at Sacred Heart Church in Eagle Grove; Wright County, Iowa to Floyd Anderson of Renwick; Humboldt County, Iowa in 1937. The family moved to Eagle Grove, Iowa in 1940. Catherine was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America and the Catholic Daughters of America. Catherine Mary (Martin-McKenna) Anderson, age: 62, passed away on Saturday; March 31, 1973 at her home in Eagle Grove, Iowa. Those left to mourn her passing are: Her husband: Floyd; her son: Thomas Anderson; and her daughter: Marilyn Anderson both of Eagle Grove, Iowa; her brother, Thomas J. McKenna of Glen Ellyn; DuPage County, Illinois and a stepmother: Mary McKenna of Long Beach; Los Angeles County, California; also two grandchildren: Patty and Tommy Anderson. Rosary services were held on Monday; April 2, 1973 at 4:00 p.m. by the CDA and an evening Rosary was held at 8:00 p.m. at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home. Funeral services began at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday; April 3, 1973 at the Sacred Heart Church, Father E.W. Lechtenberg officiated. Interment was at the Calvary Cemetery in Eagle Grove, Iowa. The Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements and the care for the family.
