Harold Glenn Mahaffey, age 83, of Shelbyville, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2019, at Salt River Community Care, in Shelbina, Missouri.
Harold was born on May 19, 1936, the son of Randall William and Clara Estelle (Nolte) Mahaffey. He was united in marriage to Loise Louise Little on May 18, 1957, in Shelbina, Missouri at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Harold enjoyed tinkering, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Loise Mahaffey; three children, Linda Shores (Randy) of Shelbyville, Missouri, Harold Mahaffey (Becky) of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, Leo Mahaffey (Chris) of Shelbina, Missouri; five grandchildren, Brent Mahaffey, Kyle Mahaffey (Heather), Nathan Shores, Josh Mahaffey, and Blaine Mahaffey; three great grandchildren, Emma and Jaxton Mahaffey, and Kaleena Patton; brothers and sisters, Herb Mahaffey, Ted Mahaffey, Danny Mahaffey (Beverly), Joe Mahaffey, Jim Mahaffey (Judy), Francie Stewart, Winnie Grable (John), and Evelyn Brown; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, John Mahaffey, Paul Mahaffey, and Kenneth Mahaffey; and one sister, Daisy Ballard.
A visitation will be held Thursday evening, August 15, 2019, from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina, Missouri. The funeral service will be held Friday, August 16, 2019, at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will be held in the Shelby Memorial Cemetery in Shelbyville, Missouri. Memorials may be made to: Neighbors Helping Neighbors or Helping Hand of Clarence.
