Dorothy M. Sterling, 88, of Findlay passed away at Birchaven Village on Saturday, September 21, 2019. She was born on July 13, 1931 in Delphos, OH to the late John B. and Ida (Hempfling) Falter. She married Edward L. "Red" Sterling on July 26, 1950 and he preceded her in death on December 22, 2005. She is survived by four sons: David W. (Deb) Sterling of Gulfport, MS, Edward L. (Eden) Sterling, Jr. of Cincinnati, Andrew (Belinda) Sterling of Findlay, and Daniel C. Sterling of Arlington; daughter, Kathy L. Pressnell of Indianapolis, IN; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Ronald C. Falter of Columbia, SC; and two sisters: Helen G. Rahrig of West Palm Beach, FL, and Vera F. (Barry) Stokes of Barefoot, FL. Three brothers: Richard J. Falter, Joseph J. Falter, and Father John F. Falter; and a sister, Mary T. Grewe, also preceded her in death. Dorothy retired as an RN at Blanchard Valley Hospital. She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, where she formerly served as a lector and C.C.D. instructor, and sang in the choir. Dorothy enjoyed art, oil painting, gardening, traveling, and watching her sons'and grandchildren's sporting events. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, downtown, with Father Kyle Gase officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00pm Wednesday at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME where the Rosary Service will begin at 7:30pm. Memorials can be made to St. Michael Parish.
