Oneda Shelton, 74, of Wayton, AR passed away Saturday, May 15 (2004) at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison, AR.

The daughter of William H. and Lydia C. (Henderson) Snow was born Dec. 26, 1929 in Wayton, AR. She had lived all her life in Newton County except for nine years in Kansas. She was a homemaker and a member of Wayton United Baptist Church.

Oneda was loved by everyone and she touched many lives. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. Her home is now with the Lord, where a beautiful person like her deserves to be. She will be missed by many loved ones and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Argus D. Snow.

She is survived by her husband of the home, William R. Shelton, Jr.; three children, Sherry Crawford and her husband, Johnny of Harrison, Kendall Shelton and his wife, Shirley, and Dana Keeton and her husband, Bill, all of Jasper; three sisters, Hazel Hicks, Ellene Phillips, and Alice Tenison, all of Wayton; six grandchildren, Christina Waganer, April Crawford, Stephanie Shelton, Chris Keeton, Heather Keeton, and Taran Keeton; and four great-grandchildren, Kayden Shelton, Landrie Waganer, Riley Waganer, and Shayla Keeton.

Neta was a person dedicated to her family and her faith. She always sang in the church choir and at any funeral or gathering that she was asked to take part in.

She is sorely missed by friends and family alike.
