He and Cecil were married in an old log church by the Rev John Elliott, Cumberland Presbyterian Minister. The church (a log house) was erected on Lorenzo's farm between 1837 and 1840 and then named Stony Point. The land that it stands on was donated by Lorenzo for the old Stony Point Presbyterian Church in 1874. In 1877, he gave another 100 feet square of land for the Stony Point Cemetery. His tombstone is located in roughly the middle of the cemetery. The reverse side of the tombstone is more readable, and is definitely that of his wife Cecil Cernan (Gist) Froman.
They had 10 children, which are linked to this memorial.
