Aaron Kellogg was a Soldier of the Revolution. He was born on July 19, 1762 in Sheffield, Massachusetts. Aaron was married to Susan Huntington Branch about 1786. Aaron and Susan moved to Clinton Village, New York in the fall of 1787. During the Revolution, Aaron was a soldier in Captain Roswell Downing's Company in July and August 1779 and in Captain John Carpenter's Company from September through December of 1779. Aaron is later believed to be the Captain Aaron Kellogg, who commanded a Company in Colonel William B. Whitings, 17th Regiment Albany County, New York Militia. Aaron and Susan were the parents of Hiram Huntington Kellogg, who was the 1st President of Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois.
