Many times I was told that Aunt Katrina's first name was inspired by the "little Dutch girl" in the tale "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow," by Washington Irving (1783-1859). She was, like her siblings, talented artistically. She could model in clay, sketch, paint, and sing.
To use one word to describe my Aunt Katrina, it would be "content." She was a loving and cheerful person with an ever ready smile. She was never shy about sharing her Christian beliefs, even with strangers. It was her strong beliefs that influenced her grandchildren and nieces.
Katrina first married Frank Francisco Esgro 9 July 1939 in Memphis, Shelby Co., Tennessee. They had one child together. They bought their first home March 5, 1947. (Deed). Katrina next married 6 March 1952 to Francis T. Wilson.

I was proud to be named for her.
