Trice was born June 11, 1938, in Hickman, Kentucky, son of the late Luther Trice and Ernie May (McKenzie) Ray. He married Martha (Singleton) Ray August 8, 1959. She passed away August 24, 2019. He worked for the former Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company for 28 ½ years and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was also a member of First United Pentecostal Church in Union City.
He is survived by one daughter, Juanita Stacks (Dan Everett) of Troy; one son, Avery Eugene Ray (Elizabeth) of Gilbertsville; one granddaughter, Amanda Dorse (Dewayne) of Troy; and two great grandsons, Andrew Burkeen and Brody Burkeen both of Troy.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Brenda Patey and Marcella Atkinson; and three brothers, Ronald Ray, Donnie Ray and Neil Ray.
