"Mrs. Nellie Nowak, age 83, former Chippewa Falls resident, and a Duluth, Minnesota resident for the past 50 years, passed away recently in Duluth.
Funeral services were held this morning 10 a.m. at St. Anthony's Church in Duluth with burial made in the Calvary Cemetery at Duluth.
Mrs. Nowak was born March 31, 1893, in Chippewa Falls, daughter of Paul and Sarah Lalonde Peloquin. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Duluth, its Rosary Society, the Third Order of Mt. Carmel and the Gold Star Mothers.
She is survived by eight sons, Br. Victor of Joliet, Ill., Leonard of Little Rock, Ark., Francis of St. Cloud, Minn., Vincent, Gerald and John, all of Duluth, Joseph of Cloquet, Minn., and Lawrence of Torrence, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Josephine Jasper of Chippewa Falls; 20 grandchildren and two great grandchildren."
