During World War II, she worked for the Houston-Fearless Corp. She also worked in the Chelan-Manson, Washington area, in fruit packing sheds
She was a member of the Aerospace Workers Union.
Her husband, James Nelson, died in 1940, her daughter, Grace Olson died in 1984 and her son, George Nelson died in 1986.
A memorial service was held at Crossroads Baptist Church in Veradale. She was 95 years old.
Private inurnment was at the Greenwood Memorial Terrace in Spokane.
