Mrs. Mary Victoria Derr, 59, wife of Edward N. Derr, Sr. of near Taneytown, died Sunday in Springfield State Hospital after an extended illness. She was born in Frederick, a daughter of the late Charles and Louisa Mullican.
Surviving besides her husband are three daughters, Mrs. James A. Greene, New Windsor; Mrs. Byron Grossnickle, near Union Bridge; and Mrs. David Harp, Altoona, Pa.; one son, Edward N. Derr, Jr., near Taneytown; eight grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Percy Burke, Westminster, Mrs. Catherine Wallace, Mrs. Louisa Zimmerman and Mrs. Cora Fawley, all of Frederick; and three brothers Charles W. Mullican, George Mullican and Albert Mullican, all of Frederick.
She was a member of St. Paul's Methodist Church of New Windsor, a member of the Faithful Band Sunday School class, was active in civic affairs working with the Red Cross, March of Dimes and the 4-H Club
Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Woodsboro.
