Florence Smith Anderson, 46, Richland, Wash., died after a lingering illness Thursday, at 3 a.m., at the home of her mother, Mrs. George C. Smith, 1533 E. 4800 South.
She was born Nov. 30, 1905, in Salt Lake City, a daughter of George C. and Lillian Emery Smith. She was a granddaughter of the late Joseph F. Smith, sixth president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She was married to David L. Anderson May 5, 1930, in the Salt Lake L D S Temple. They resided in Salt Lake City until February, 1944, when they moved to Richland. Mrs. Anderson had been active in various L D S organizations.
Besides her husband and mother, she is survived by two daughters, Norma and Mary Judith Anderson, both of Richland, and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Lillian S. Boyce, G. Carlos Smith, Mrs. Mary S. North, Ralph W. Smith and Reed E. Smith, all of Holladay; Mrs. Ina S. Wilson, Denver; Mrs. Eleanor S. Summerhill, Long Beach, Cal., and Wilford E. Smith, Provo.

Funeral services for Florence Smith Anderson, 46, will be conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. in Holladay third Ward Chapel, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2465 E. 4800 South, by Mark Jackman, bishop.
Mrs. Anderson, a resident of Richland, Wash., died Thursday after a lingering illness, at the home of her mother, Mrs. George C. Smith, 1533 E. 4800 South.
Friends may call at the home of Mrs. Smith Saturday prior to services.
Burial will be in Holladay Cemetery.
