She was born Nov. 8, 1928 in Cosby TN, the daughter of Bruce and Virgie (Gunter) Dorsey. She had lived in MO since the 1970's. She was preceded in death by her husband John Keckler, her sisters, Frances Settlemyre, Pauline Smith, Rena Arp, and Gladys Darter, her brother Edward Dorsey, and her granddaughter Lindy Hall.
She leaves her two sons, John Keckler II and James Keckler, both of Purdy, her sister Shirley McMillen of Newport TN, her brothers Harold Dorsey of Cosby TN and Wayne Dorsey of Gatlinburg TN, three grandsons, one granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews.
Jean (known to many as "Wilma") leaves a legacy of joy. Her joy was her strength, and it touched many lives around her. She was a member of New Freedom Church in Purdy, and her great faith was her treasure. She enjoyed gardening, canning, quilting, crocheting, and cooking, and also loved music.
A graveside service was held August 25, 2007 at Arnhart Cemetery, Purdy MO.
