On April 13, 1952, Louise married her second husband, James H. Lininger. They were happily married for 64 years. Louise was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Battle Creek Chapter. She was also an active member of Lions International service organization with a focus on helping children with diabetes which is the leading cause of blindness among children. Louise's other interest included reading, golf, jigsaw puzzles, and travel. She was a member of the First Methodist church.
Louise was proceeded in death by her parents, Virgil and Lottie (Fuller) Benedict and her husband, James H. Lininger. In addition, four of her siblings passed on before her; sisters Ruth Marie Benedict, Doris (Don) Miller, and brothers, Dr. James (Muriel) Benedict, and Benjamin Benedict (Ellen).
She is survived by her sister, her three sons, five grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
Louise was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She will be missed by all. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a private committal service will be held. A public memorial service will be held at the Kempf Family Funeral and Cremations Services 2838 Capital Ave. S.W, Battle Creek, MI 49015, (269) 979-3838, as soon as it is safe to have large gatherings.
A notification will be placed in the paper regarding the date and time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Daughters of the American Revolution, the American Red Cross, or the American Cancer Society.
