Georgia Menninger Georgia Menninger, 81, Topeka, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2015, surrounded by her family. She was born October 22, 1933, in Los Angeles, California, the daughter of George and Wilma (Goodwin) Kiepe. In 1953, she graduated from Soldan-Blewett High School in St. Louis, Missouri. In 1958, she received a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. Georgia was an occupational therapist for the Menninger Foundation, retiring after 14 years. Mrs. Menninger was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She volunteered at Stormont-Vail Hospital, Shawnee County Topeka Public Library and the Media Center at Whitson Elementary School. Georgia married Philip B. Menninger on May 16, 1959 in St. Louis, Missouri. He survives. Other survivors include her daughters, Beverly Menninger, Aurora, IL; and Susan (Kenneth) Krause, Plainfield, IL; three grandsons, Alexander Kovalenko, Aurora, IL; Zachary and Tyler Krause, both of Plainfield, IL; two sisters, Beverly Haid (Suzy Hillmann), Honolulu, HI and Laura (Marvin) Trigg, Bella Vista, AR. Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 6, in the chapel at the First Presbyterian Church. Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel is assisting with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society, 5720 SW 21st, Topeka, KS 66604 or Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Program of Occupational Therapy, Campus Box 8505 444 Forest Park Ave., St. Louis, MO 63108-2212.
