Niece of Topeka Founder Dies

Funeral Saturday for Mrs. Susan Miller
Private funeral services for Mrs. Susan Miller Adams, 81-year-old niece of C.K. Holliday, Topeka founder, are to be held at the Wall-Diffenderfer mortuary Saturday afternoon at 3:30.
Mrs. Adams died Thursday night at her home, 1634 Jewell. She had been a resident of Topeka more than 60 years.

Mrs. Adams was born in Wooster, O., October 5, 1859, and came to Topeka from there. She was identified with several Topeka and Shawnee county clubs and organizations and was an active member of the Central Congregational church.
Burial will be in Mt. Hope cemetery. The body will lie in state at the mortuary until noon Saturday.

Surviving are her husband, Kenneth M. Adams, of the home ( ERROR: her husband was Charles Adams); one daughter, Mabel Adams Spear, of the home; four sons, Kenneth M. Adams, Albuquerque, N.M.; Clyde M. Adams, Grosse Point Farms, Mich.; Charles W. Adams and Will A. Adams, of Kansas City, Mo.; six grandchildren, Susan Adams, Betty Adams and Clyde Melvin Adams, Jr., all of Grosse Point Farms, Mich.; John Charles Adams, Topeka; Harry Will Adams, Wrightsville Beach, N.C., and Mrs. Margaret Adams Fisher, Chicago; two great-granddaughters, Susan Beth Adams, Wrightsville Beach, N.C., and Barbara Fisher, Chicago, Ill.
