Alma Maxine Byers, 95, of Buna died Friday, January 22, 2021 at her home. She was born October 28, 1925 in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, the 9th of 9 children born to E.A & Mattie (Borland) Pennington.
She married Francis Byers in Shreveport, LA. in Sept 1946. They moved moved to Buna in 1956 and she was a retired instrument technician for Eastex Paper Mill in Evadale.
She is survived by a son, Pat Byers of Buna; and 2 grandchildren, Renee Byers and Dane Byers; and a great grandchild, Noah Pauline, and many Pennington, Parker, and Voss nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Graveside service will be 10:00 am Tuesday, January 26, at Antioch Cemetery in Buna under the direction of Adams EE Stringer Funeral Home in Buna.
