LITTLESTOWN Wesley E. Ambrose, 72, died Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Myrtle (Good) Ambrose, to whom he was married for 54 years. Born October 27, 1934, in Frederick County, Md., he was the son of the late Clarence and Grace (Brown) Ambrose. Mr. Ambrose was a lifelong farmer. He was a member of Pennsylvania Farm Bureau of Adams County. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Sandra J. Lawrence and husband Donald of Hanover and Kathy S. Ambrose and Jeff Mowery of Hanover; three sons, John W. Ambrose and wife Debra of Hanover, Bruce E. Ambrose and wife Kathy of Littlestown and Wayne D. Ambrose and wife Juli of Littlestown; seven grandchildren; a brother, Ira Ambrose of Gettysburg; and a sister, Mary Edwards of Westminster, Md. He was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Richard and Earl Ambrose. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Monday, October 22, 2007 at Little's Funeral Home, 34 Maple Ave., Littlestown with the Rev. Craig E. Arentz of Christ U.C.C. Littlestown officiating. A viewing will be held Sunday 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Littlestown.
