Leonard Stedl, age 93, a Pulaski area resident, died peacefully on Tuesday evening, Sept. 18, 2007, surrounded by his family.
The son of the late Matthew and Annie (Mancoske) Stedl was born on Aug. 30, 1914, in the town of Morrison. On Nov. 18, 1936, he married Ella Beimborn at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kellnersville. The couple lived in the town of Pittsfield for more than 50 years. He farmed in the town of Pittsfield and worked as a cattle buyer for Packerland Packing until his retirement.
Len enjoyed hunting, fishing and a good game of cards. He will always be remembered for his quick wit, good humor and his natural propensity for teasing.
Survivors include five sons and four daughters-in-law: Gerald (Sharon) Stedl, Stevens Point; Richard (Darlene) Stedl, Seymour; Kenneth Stedl and special friend, Linda, New Franken; Roger (Julie) Stedl, Pulaski; and Michael Stedl and significant other, Sharon, Suamico; Donna (Tom) Mancoske, Denmark; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one step-granddaughter; a sister-in-law: Anastasia Stedl, Reedsville; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Ella on Sept. 8, 1990, one son: Robert on July 14, 1986; one daughter: Patricia Golonka on April 25, 2007; one grandson: Randall Golonka on Sept. 16, 1984; three brothers: John (Catherine) Stedl, Ambrose Stedl and Raymond Stedl; four sisters: Stella (Matthew) Kubsch; Lila (Joseph) Baumann; Marion (John) Jagodzinski; and Lorraine (Ken) Johnson.

Friends may call at Marnocha Funeral Home, Pulaski, from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday (TODAY), with closing prayers at 7:45 p.m. The visitation continues after 10 a.m. on Friday at St. Edward & Isidore Church, Flintville. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. on Friday at the church. Father David Kasperek will be presiding, with burial in Fort Howard Memorial Park, Green Bay.
