Harold D. Comer worked his entire life. Throughout his life, he worked at several places: on an off shore jet barge laying pipe for McDermott in Houma, LA, assistant fire chief in Adamsville, supervisor over the Adamsville Utility Department, and served as constable for many years in Adamsville. For over 40 years, he was a self-employed truck driver.
Mr. Comer was a wonderful storyteller, enjoyed talking to anyone and everyone no matter their age. He was active with his son in Cub Scouts and coaching baseball. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Adamsville, Mason Lodge #338, and Eastern Star.
Harold D. Comer departed this life on March 5, 2021 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 69 Years, 8 Months, 4 Days. He is survived by his wife Brenda Comer of Adamsville, TN; a daughter, Lori Warner and husband Alan of Morris Chapel, TN; a son, Roger Hylton and wife Beth of Adamsville, TN; three sisters, Maggie Webb of Kalamazoo, MI, Linda Hurley of Guys, TN, Sue Pickens of Stantonville, TN; a brother, Bill Comer of Michie, TN; five grandchildren, Jordan Hylton of Adamsville, TN, Jsutin Hylton of Adamsville, TN, Mason McCann, Samantha Bevel and husband Jerry of Fredericksburg , VA, Ashley Martin and husband J.D. of Savannah, TN; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Comer was preceded in death by five sisters, Ruth Bishop, Louise Bishop, Brenda Kay Comer, Delores Ann Comer, Jo Rickman; six brothers, Dubert A. (Tiny), Hubert, Ray, Lee, Charles R. and George Edward Comer.
