"Gertie Ann Bailey, 55, a native and resident of Charenton, died Wednesday, September 22, 2004, at 8:05 a.m., at Franklin Foundation Hospital. She is survived by her husband of almost 40 years, Albert Bailey Jr. of Charenton; four sons, Brent James Bailey of Franklin, Warren Anthony Bailey of Charenton, Corey Joseph Bailey of Charenton and Trevor William Bailey of Charenton; her mother, Nellie Higgins Persilver of Charenton; one sister, Verda "Dookie" Hebert of Charenton; three brothers, L.J. Persilver Jr. of Charenton, Barry Persilver of Charenton and Roy Persilver of Charenton; nine grandchildren, Chance Logan Bailey, Trevor William Bailey Jr., Shadi Nicole Bailey, Courtney Nicole Bailey, Chase Hunter Bailey, Abigail Rose Bailey and Cameron Roy Bailey, all of Charenton, Alex Michelle Bailey of Lafayette and Dustin Aaron Landry of Alexandria; two daughters-in-law, Vickie Goodwin Bailey and Penny Price Bailey; and one former daughter-in-law, Rachael Dore. She was preceded in death by her father, Leo "Boley" Persilver Sr.; one brother, Russell Persilver; and one sister, Bertie Johnson. The family requests that visiting hours be observed Friday at Little Pass Baptist Church in Charenton from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Visiting will resume Saturday at the church at 8 a.m. Services will be held at Little Pass Baptist Church Saturday, September 25, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Bobby Hodnett officiating. Interment will follow in the Perpetual Park Cemetery in Franklin."
