Hallie Roberta (Asberry) Collins was born about about 1919, the daughter of John Wesley Asberry (ca 1891–1962) and Leona (Trisdale) Asberry (1882–1950).

She was married on November 5, 1938 in Williamson County, Tennessee to Henderson Collins (16 Sep 1920-Jan 1984).

Hallie was a foster parent and a member of Rural hill Church of Christ, and she was living in Antioch, Tennessee and was 92 years old and a widow when she passed away on November 1, 2010.

Preceded in death by her husband Henderson, sons Albert Norman Collins and Marvin Henderson Collins and by her daughter Martha Elizabeth Goad, she was survived by daughters Wilma Jean Davis and her husband Jerry Davis and Mary Leona Holmes and her husband David Holmes of Smyrna, sixteen grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren and two 2nd-great-grandchildren.

Celebration of Life Services were held on November 4th at Woodlawn's Dignity Hall, and burial was in Woodlawn Great Cross Mausoleum.
