Alice Reimer, age 89, a Manitowoc resident, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday, May 28, 2021 at Harbor View Assisted Living, Manitowoc

Alice was born on January 3, 1932 in Newton, daughter of the late Joseph and Elsie (Augustine) Ahl. She was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School with the class of 1949. On October 28, 1950 she married Anton Reimer at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Alverno. He preceded her in death on January 13, 2020. Above all, she dedicated herself to running the house and taking care of her family. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is regarded as one of the top women bowlers in Manitowoc County. She was the first woman in Manitowoc to bowl a 700 series, rolling a 717. She is a member of the Manitowoc Women's Bowling Hall of Fame. Alice was very intelligent, she loved and excelled at playing Scrabble and word games. Alice was proud of selling Avon for many years.

Survivors include her six children: Jeanne Granberg (special friend Dennis Becker), Eau Claire, Daniel (Linda) Reimer, Manitowoc, Jim (Patti) Reimer, Manitowoc, Larry (Jacque) Reimer, Manitowoc, Lisa (Dave) Rosinsky, Francis Creek, Diane (Joe) Koneczka, Manitowoc; eleven grandchildren: Jennifer Hamachek, Tara (Howard) Belanger, Steven (Sarah) Reimer, Eric Reimer, Raissa (Bret) Krajnik, Jason Reimer, Nicole (Billy) Cockroft, Michael (Jena) Rosinsky, Bryan Rosinsky, Kyle (Nicole) Herzog; 20 great grandchildren; two sisters: Bernice (Jerome) Brandl, Elaine (Al) Meyer; four sisters-in-law: Pat Ahl, Ruth Ahl, Ann Gillen, and Mary Reimer. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by: her husband: Anton Reimer; parents: Joseph and Elsie Ahl; son-in-law: Keith Granberg; eight siblings: Robert (Dorothy) Ahl, Gerald (Nelda) Ahl, Dorothy (Harold) Hibbard, Norbert Ahl, Mary Ann (Joe) Gallenberger, Ray Ahl, Jim (Jane) Ahl, Fran Miller; three brothers-in-law: Robert (Joan) Reimer, Louis Reimer and Bill Gillen.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo, 1121 N. 14th Street, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Doug LeCaptain with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo, Manitowoc, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Please wear a mask while inside church.
