Our beloved mother, Dorothy Mary Hibbard, age 79, of Manitowoc, loved roses and flowers. Jesus invited mom to walk with Him in His beautiful rose garden on August 16, 2008 after she passed away at home. A garden without any weeds, just love and kindness for one another.
She was born April 10, 1929 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Joseph F. and Elsie (Augustine) Ahl.
On July 12, 1947 she married Harold Hibbard at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Alverno.
Survivors include her husband: Harold Hibbard, Shawano; three daughters and two sons-in-law: Donna and Dar Johnson, Manitowoc, Kathi and Fred Bonde, Elkhart Lake, Karan Woelfel, Nebraska; five sons and daughters-in-law: Harry and Mary Hibbard, Newton, Ken and Sue Hibbard, Maribel, Dale and Jodi Hibbard, Manitowoc, Allan and Ellen Hibbard, Manitowoc, Bill and Debbie Hibbard, Newton; 20 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters-in-law: Norbert and Pat Ahl, Cato, Ray and Ruth Ahl, Manitowoc; five sisters and three brothers-in-law: Mary Ann Gallenberger, Milwaukee, Elaine and Al Meyer, Manitowoc, Fran Miller, Manitowoc, Alice and Tony Reimer, Manitowoc, Bernice and Jerome Brandl, Pewaukee; three sisters-in-law: Jane Ahl, Manitowoc, Pearl Wernecke, Newton, Janet King, Appleton; special friends: Betty Koenig, Mishicot and Sally of Shawano Hospice; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. Dorothy was also preceded in death by a son-in-law: Steve Woelfel; three brothers and two sisters-in-law: Gerald and Nelda Ahl, Jim Ahl, Bob and Dolly Ahl; her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Joe and Emily Hibbard; one brother-in-law: Elton Wernecke; special friend: June DuMonthier.
