Joseph G. Baumann, age 91, a resident of Manitowoc, passed away on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Sharon S. Richardson Hospice in Sheboygan Falls.

Joe was born on June 9, 1929 in Manitowoc to the late John and Marie (Vodicka) Baumann. He obtained his Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education after graduating from Manitowoc County Teacher's College and University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. Joe enlisted in the United States Army and served in the Korean War until his honorable discharge. He had worked as kitchen steward at various resorts in western states. Joe was an avid baseball fan - especially the Chicago Cubs.

Survivors include numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Marie Baumann; seven sisters and two brothers.

In respect with Joe's wishes, there will be no public visitation or services. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel with burial of Joe's cremated remains to be held at Evergreen Cemetery.
