Died at his home four miles west of Hale on December 22, 1943 at the age of 83. He moved with his parents to this part of Missouri when he was two. His education was in rural schools. He married Ada Jane Plunkett in Chillicothe, Missouri and they had ten children. He is survived by one brother, Charles Paul of Bay City, Texas and one sister, Mrs. Martha May Smith. He was the third of seventeen children. His entire life was devoted to farming and bridge building. In 1940 he accepted Christ and placed his membership with the Assembly of God Church. He was laid to rest in the Hale Cemetery.
