Reinhardt P. "Reiny" Wage, age 91, a lifelong resident of Manitowoc County, died on Thursday, June 21, 2007.

Reiny was born on Dec. 19, 1915, in Manitowoc to the late August and Catherine Vander Veer Wage. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1933. He joined the U.S. Army and served in Japan during the occupation following World War II and was later honorably discharged with the rank of master sergeant. He was employed as a foreman with Formrite Tube Company in Two Rivers. Reiny was a founding member and honorary lifetime member of the Lakeshore Beagle Club and inducted into the Wisconsin Association of Beagle Clubs Hall of Fame in 1996. He was a great outdoorsman and enjoyed many years of hunting with his beagles.

Reiny was the loving uncle of Lynda (Joseph) Zeise; Barbara (Wayne) Grail; Michael (Kathy) Wage; Kathrine (Patrick) Mealy; Dennis (Debra) Wage, and David (Sandra) Wage. He is also survived by two sisters-in-law: Clarice Wage and Margaret Wage; also other relatives and friends survive. He was preceded in death by his parents; his twin brother: Clarence Wage; and an older brother: Karl Wage; also a nephew: Douglas Wage.

A celebration of Reiny's life will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2007, at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home from 4 until 6 p.m. Family and friends of Reiny are invited to stop by to share stories and reflections.

The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Cremation Center, North 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
