BLUEFIELD - Ruby M. Perdue Stinson, 86, of 421 Perdue Hollow Rd., Bluefield, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004 at the Maples Nursing Home in Bluefield.
Born on July 27, 1917 in Mercer County, she was a daughter of the late Giles and Sally Caldwell Perdue. She had been a lifelong resident of Mercer County and was of the Methodist faith. She was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, her husband, George W. Stinson; a twin sister, Ruth Gibberson; and three additional sisters preceded her in death.
Survivors include brothers, Howard C. (Jack) Perdue and wife, Dean of Princeton and Tommy Perdue and wife, Jeanette of Bluefield; and sisters, Shirley George and husband Abe, Mary Bond of Bluefield and Thelma Huffman of Bluefield.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with the Rev. David Bailey officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may call today from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell is serving the Stinson family.
