Ruth V. Gibberson, 71, of Route 1, Box 526, Bluefield died Tuesday June 13, 1989 in a Bluefield hospital.
Born July 27, 1917 in Brushfork, she was a daughter of Sally Caldwell Perdue of Route 1, Bluefield, and the late Giles Shelton Perdue. She was a member of the Brushfork United Methodist Church, had been a resident of Brushfork most of all of her life, and was a homemaker. She was preceeded in death by her husband, Frank Gibberson in 1968.
Survivors: sons, Ronnie Gibberson and James Gibberson, both of Route 1,Bluefield; brothers, Tommy Perdue of Bluefield, and Jack Perdue of Princeton; sisters, Mary Perdue Bond, Shirley Perdue George, Ruby Perdue Stinson, and Thelma Perdue Huffman all of Bluefield; and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell, with the Rev. Walter A. Clot officiating and burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.
Friends may call today at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m.
