BLUEFIELD - Mary Magdalene Dancy Murphy Sudduth, 81, of 1017 James St., Bluefield, died Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Pageton and was a daughter of the late John Dancy and Bertha Dillon Dancy. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bluefield and was a retired nurses Aid at Bluefield Regional Medical Center.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walton Sudduth and by brothers, Harold, Roscoe, Johnny and Claude Dancy.
Survivors: Sons, Kenneth Murphy Jr. and wife Jeanette of Roanoke, Va., John Paul Murphy and wife Pam of Bluefield, Michael Murphy of Roanoke; daughter, Susie Brooks and husband Larry of Falls Church, Va.; grandchildren, Shaun Murphy of Chantilly, Va., Shannon Rackley of Wilmington, N.C., Jan Campbell of Orlando, Fla., Erin Murphy of Orlando, Jonathan Murphy of Bluefield, Brittany Brooks of Falls Church; great grandchildren, Deljah Rackley and Finn Murphy, Josh Murphy and Quentin Elliott.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bluefield with Father William Matheny officiating. Burial will follow in the Grandview Memory Gardens, Bluefield, Va. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
