BLUEFIELD - Virginia Louise Tabor Hill, 81, of Rt. 3, Box 223 (Saunders Road), Bluefield, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2005 at her residence.
Born Nov. 20, 1923 in Coaldale, she was a daughter of the late James A. Tabor and Katie P. Barrett Tabor.
She had been a resident of Rt. 3 for 50 years and had formerly worked for Dr. Lyle Gage Sr. and Dr. Lyle Gage Jr. as an L.P.N. for 20 years. She was a member of the Bramwell Presbyterian Church and attended Elkhorn High School.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Gladys Haynes, Beatrice Hutchins and Audrey Stepp; and brothers, Donald, Kenneth, Clarence and Herbert Tabor. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Hampton D. Hill of Rt. 3, Bluefield.; sons, Dick Hill and wife, Rita of Tallahassee, Fla., Nick Hill and wife, Judy of St. Peters, Mo.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, June 29, 2005 at 11 a.m. at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, with the Elder Jim Godwin, Jr. officiating.
Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum where family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 6-8 p.m.
Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is serving the Hill Family.
