SOLON BARNETT MOORE SR. was the son of John George "J.G." Moore and Mrs. Eliza Jane (Barnett) Moore.

He was the husband of Mrs. Martha Elizabeth (Branch) Moore whom he married on June 4, 1905 in Smith County, Texas.

"Solon B. Moore Dies Thursday - Rites for Long-Time Citizen Friday Afternoon ---
Solon B. Moore, 58, died after a brief illness at 3:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the Kahn Memorial Hospital.

Solon B. Moore was born in 1881 in Tyler, Texas. He moved to Marshall, Texas about 35 years ago, and he was engaged in the grocery business the greater part of the time. Mr. Moore has served as an elder in the First Presbyterian Church here for several years.

He is survived by his wife; four sons, Ladnor M. Moore, Jack B. Moore, Solon B. Moore Jr. and Arch Carroll Moore; one brother, S. A. Moore, of Tyler; two sisters, Miss Addie Belle Moore and Miss Leota Moore.

Funeral was held at 3 o'clock Friday afternoon from the First Presbyterian Church. Services were conducted by Dr. Charles A. Nash.

Interment in Greenwood Cemetery.

Active pallbearers are H.J. Graeser, M.S. McCutchan Sr., W.P. McCoy, W.K. Krautter, Franklin Young, George Walker, George Handler and D.C. Haggar. Honorary pallbearers are A.H. Eiland, A.L.
