Mrs. Kober was born May 10, 1912, while enroute to the United Stated from Russia, to the late Gottlieb and Mary Wieman Kunstmann. She attended Trinity Lutheran School and was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church.
On Aug. 10, 1929, she married Christ J. Kober, also of Sheboygan, at Trinity Lutheran Church parsonage. Mr. and Mrs. Kober moved to Cecil, Wis. in 1971 and returned to Sheboygan in 1991. Mr. Kober died Jan. 11,1992.
Emily was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Hope Lutheran Church at Cecil.
Survivors include one daughter, June (Bernard) Ertel and one son, Donald (Doris Meyer) Kober, all of Sheboygan; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four brothers, Gottlieb (Irene) Kunstmann, Emil (Irene) Kunstmann, Two Rivers; John (Lucille) Kunstmann and Elmer (Joyce) Kunstmann, State of Florida; four sisters, Frieda DePrey and Marie Hoppe, Manitowoc; Pauline Kornely, Mishicot; and Clara Reynolds, Sheboygan.
She was preceded in death by two grandchildren and one brother, Adolph.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, at 3 p.m. at Ballhorn Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Luke Schnake, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, officiating. Her cremated remains will be interred at Lutheran Cemetery.
