EDWARD LEE BAILEY
Edward Lee Bailey, 70, of Bramwell died Friday, March 31, 1978 in a Princeton hospital following a long illness.
Born on Jun 23, 1907, at Maybeury, he was a son of the late Edmund and Amanda Houch Bailey. He was a resident of Bramwell for the past 45 years and was a retired coal miner, having retired from Pocahontas Fuel Corp. at Jenkinjones. He was a graduate of Elkhorn High School, attended West Kentucky Teacher's College at Bowling Green, Ky., and was a member of the school band having played the trombone. He was a member of UMWA at Jenkinjones and was preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mamie Lee Hill Bailey of Bramwell; one daughter, Mrs. David (Anita) Logan of Charlotte, N.C.; one sister Mrs. Audrea Anderson of Clarksville, Ar., four grandsons.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Dr. C.H. Patterson officiating.
Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell.
Palbearers will be Clifton Hil, Leonard Bailey, Don Allen, Junior Goins, Gene Bailey, Hampton Hill, Hugh Hill, Robert Eller, Herman Hill and Ray Hill.
Friends may call at the funeral home today from 5 to 9 p.m.
