Robert Cecil McBride, 54, of Yards, Va. was dead on arrival of natural causes at a Bluefield hospital Tuesday morning, July 30, 1974.
Born in Coopers, W.V. on November 25, 1919 he was a son of Gordon and Maggie Mae Jackson McBride.
He is survived by his widow, Maxine Mabe McBride; two stepsons, Gordon Potter of the Air Force in New Mexico and Billy Potter of Los Angeles, Ca.; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Dennis Downs, of Bluefield; two brothers; Bernard McBride, Yards, Va. and Gerald McBride of Atlanta, Ga.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at the Graham Funeral home in Bluefield, Va., with the Rev. Howard Gothard officiating.
Burial will follow in Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, Va.
Pallbearers will be Charles Mabe, James Mabe, John Mabe, Larry McBride, Wilbur Perdue, and John Paul Jackson.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Thursday.
