GORDON RUFUS MCBRIDE
Funeral services for Gordon Rufus McBride, 70, of Yards, Va. will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. at Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Bluefield, Va. Rev. Ted Witt will officiate and burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Gardens on Bluefield Tazewell Road.
Born August 19, 1897 at Danville, Va., he was a son of the late Thomas Lee Patrick and Sophia Ann Frances Ferguson McBride. He was a retired motorman for Pocahontas Fuel Co. and was a member of Falls Mills Christian Church, Falls Mills, Va.
He died Saturday morning November 5, 1966 in Bluefield Sanitarium following a long illness.
Survivors include three sons, Robert Cecil McBride of Detroit, Mi., Bernard McBride of Maple Acres and Gerald E. McBride of Utica, Mi., three grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Sunday.
Pallbearers: John H. Carter, Harry Murray, Claude Taylor and Donald Bennett. Women in the church Falls Mills Christian Church will be flower bearers.
