Saint John Christian Visitor, Thu 07 Oct 1869: "Our brethern of Leinster St. (St. John) have nobly discharged a debt, long over due, to their late pastor, Rev. E.B. DEMILL and his wife, by placing a beautiful Italian marble monument over their grave in Rural Cemetery (today known as Fernhill Cemetery, Westmorland Road) It consists of an obelisk, finished with pillars in each corner, plain top with crochet ornament, about nine feet high including a good and substantial base. The inscription is as follows: Erected by the / Leinster - street Baptist church, in Memory / of their late pastor, / Rev. E. Budd DEMILL, A.M., / who died Aug. 1st, 1863 / aged 35 years / " And now, brethern, I commend you to find God, and to the word of his grace, who is able to build you up." / Also: / Elizabeth M. / His wife, who died February 4th, 1864, / age 25 years. - The Monument was manufactured at the establishment of S.P. OSGOOD, Esq. (slashes / indicate end of line of each inscription as illustrated in the newspaper)" - Source: Daniel F Johnson's New Brunswick Newspaper Vital Statistics.
