---Lottie M. Curtis-Boydstun was born May 26, 1882; died at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Curtis, near Gifford, Mo., on Jan. 28, 1906, being 23 years, 8 months and 2 days old at the time of her death. She was married to Albert Boydstum on Feb. 5, 1902. She leaves to mourn, one sweet little girl-Mary E. Boydstun age 3 years-husband, father and mother, one sister-Mrs. Altha Sullivan-four brothers-Dell, S.J., Alva and John. They were all present at the funeral. Two sisters preceded her to the other world. She also leaves a host of friends and relatives. To add to this great sorrow was the suddenness of her death-being sick only one week. Lottie never belonged to any church but was a believer in christianity and her pleasant and cheerful disposition always made it a pleasure to be in her company. She was a great comfort to her aged parents as she and her husband had come there to live.
---A short service was held at the home by reading the 14th chapter of Job, a prayer and two songs-"Eden Home", and "Meet Me There." The large assembly that met at the cemetery speaks for the high esteem in which she was held.
---The relatives have the sympathy of the entire community.
"Dearest Lottie thou has left us,
---And our loss we deeply feel;
But tis God that hath bereft us,
---He can all our sorrows heal."
